I’ve spent the last 2 hours trying to find a topic for a visual description. I just got back from the Bookholders store in Towson, picking up my check from last semester’s books that I’ve just sold. I saw an old, red Buick that seemed to be broken down on the side of the road. So I thought why not pick cars as my topic. As I was reading to obtain more information, I found this neat little (actually pretty long) article about the different types of cars and what it should look like as far as the interior and exterior. It also gives definitions of the components in the car with the photo next to it so anybody would be able to quickly read the material and identify and particular parts based on descriptions and photos available.
Here’s the link to the article.
Very interesting diagrams! This reminds me of some different little index cards that police carry around to help people describe cars involved in crimes. Talking about a red Buick, I had a maroon four-door Buick Skylark throughout high school and college. I called it the grannymobile. There was a bench seat in the front, and it had velvetine cushions. Best thing was it went 400 miles between fill-ups. I really do miss that grannymobile. It’s interesting how so many people name their cars and feel a connection to them — like they have their own personalities.
